Why I Serve

I serve because I believe in MATS and the program they have in place to help the homeless get their lives back on track. I don’t believe homeless is something you can fix overnight by providing a warm bed and a meal to someone in need. I believe in helping those who want help and that begins with finding out what needs to be fixed. There is a major focus on gaining employment for the residents as well as a structured living environment which teaches them the skills they need for when they leave the program. I believe in this organization and have seen how lives are changed because if it. I serve and will continue to serve as long as they need me and I consider it a privilege to be part of this organization.
